Overview

Established in the year 2000, IDFC Asset Management Company Ltd. is the investment advisory firm of IDFC Mutual Fund which is one of the largest Mutual Fund houses in India. In a comparatively shorter time duration, it has developed a strong network to deliver regular and continuous value to its investors throughout India.

IDFC AMC is among the few fund houses to obtain an ISO 9001:2000 certification for its complete range of customer service activities.

Moreover, IDFC Ltd. (IDFC) and Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM) have embarked into a strategic alliance with IDFC AMC. This partnership will provide IDFC AMC the ability to offer domestic investors accessibility to international investment avenues through investment products managed by NGAM. Natixis Global Asset Management is one of the prominent asset managers in the world based on assets under management.

Natixis is the corporate, investment and financial services division of BPCE, the second-largest banking group in France with 22% of total bank deposits and 37 million clients extended over two networks, Banques Populaires and Caisses d’Epargne.

As per the RBI directives for a banking license, IDFC Ltd. on July 9, 2015, has transferred its shareholding in IDFC Asset Management Company Ltd. to IDFC Financial Holding Company Limited, a Non-Operative Financial Company, which is a fully owned subsidiary of IDFC Ltd. Although, after the transfer even, IDFC remains to be the sponsor of the IDFC Mutual Fund and also continues to retain the controlling rights in IDFC AMC.

(Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Law (General) and he is an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India & Institute of Company Secretaries of India; Mr. Phadke worked with Mahindra & Mahindra Group (M&M) since 1973. He was President – Finance, legal & financial services sector and a member of the Group Executive Board of M&M and subsequently was appointed as “Principal Advisor-Finance”)

These securities are backed by physical possession of the commodity and invest in shares of companies, currencies, and precious metal.
