A Football Maniac? Get Ready for a Thrilling Barcelona FC Stadium & Museum Tour without Paying Much!
If any sport that captures the imagination of Barcelona and Spain, it's the old game football which brings everyone together in this part of the world. Just like what we Indians feel about cricket, the same as you can experience for football in Barcelona. I happened to be a lucky bloke to have not only visited the Barcelona FC Stadium, but also enjoyed a riveting encounter between FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol B, the club teams of Barcelona. The match, which was tied at 2 goals per team at a stipulated time of 45 minutes, went to the extra time. Even that could not decide a winner. And finally, it boiled down to the penalty shootout, causing a great deal of anxiety and nerves among the players and fans from both teams. After a series of twists, FC Barcelona finally emerged as the winner. Surely, it was nail biting finish, a money's worth. I will share with you my experience of visiting the stadium, which has plenty more to excite you apart from football.

Barcelona FC Camp Nou Experience Tour
The cost of ticket for Bareceloan FC Camp Nou Experience Tour online is Rs 1,800 per individual and Rs 1,400-1,500 per child. The tour did not feature any guides by the time I was there. Instead, I had to guide myself through the museum by bright yellow barriers. The security arrangements were good with guards and attendants all over the place.
You can check out the tour information on boards attached along the route. Additionally, you can tune in to audio guides to know in-depth of the tour. You can buy these guides at the welcome desk of the tour. Here's the list of stuffs that you can see in the tour.
3D Virtual Experience
You are set to get mesmerized with a 3D show, a 10-minute 3D showcasing the stuffs that happen on the football ground. The show, which showcases images of popular football matches, is likely to bring smile on the face of kids via 3D effects.
Inaugurated in 1958 and blessed by Pope John Paul in 1982, FC Chapel offers players a chance to give prayers to god just before the match kicks off.
Come and walk through the tunnel here and you will feel like the way footballers feel when they walk upto the pitch before a game amid fans chanting names of players.
Looking forward to a closer view of the pitch? Come to dug out just before you step into the pitch. I happened to reach the dug out and interacted with the players who were quite friendly yet big pranksters. Coming to the dug out and listening to the loud cheers of the fans took me to the flashback of 2011 Cricket World Cup in which I was among the many cheering for Team India who were battling out against the minnows Netherlands at Ferozshah Kotla, New Delhi.
The press box, which consists of 29 cabins, are constructed 35 metres above the playing area. Here, the commentators with loud voices endeavour to catch the senses of television viewers.
A 120-seater press room could bring excitement in your tour by letting you listen to the questions asked by the journalists and those answered by the players. The press conferences happen before and after the matches. Subsequent to the match, two players go to meet the press.
Barcelona FC Presidents Plaque
You can find the names of all the presidents of the club right from the time of its inception.
Want to get a best view of the pitch? Come to the Presidents box, wherein the Club President sits with the guests of honour.
