Catch the Glittering Launches of Best-in-Class Cars in 2016

Everyone’s eyes glitter when they see a glossy car with a plethora of stylish features. And so it becomes a dream for them to buy such cars one day. The dream gets even more buoyant when you see over dozens of new cars hitting the ground. You must have seen the launches of stylish car models, such as Renault Kwid, Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Creta, Ford Figo Aspire, Mahindra TUV300, with much fanfare in 2015. BMW 520d M Sport
A fortnight before the 70th Independence Day, happened the much anticipated launch of BMW 520d M Sport, an executive Sedan model, in India. The German automobile giant launched the model on August 2, 2016, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 54 lacs. The car, which is manufactured at BMW-owned plants outside Chennai, can be purchased at all dealerships of the auto maker across the country. The new generation 2 litre TwinPower Turbo, 4-cylinder diesel engine incorporates the state-of-the art fuel injection technologies to offer improved efficiency. The car churns out power and torque of 400Nm. The paddle shifters of the 8-speed automatic gearbox offers you enhanced control over gear shifts. The lightweight car is full of gadgets such as the latest BMW iDrive system with a 10.2 inch display, BMW Apps, 3D maps, a rear view camera, park distance control, Bluetooth support, ABS, 6 airbags, dynamic stability control & traction control, cornering brake control and many more to your liking.

Hyundai Creta E+ and S+ Models
Hyundai has recently rolled out new ZCreta range models, Executive (E+) and S+ variants, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lacs and Rs 13.5 lacs, respectively. The E+ variant features a 5-inch touch screen, bluetooth controls & tweeters, steering audio, roof rails, LED turn indicators, rear AC vents and electrically adjustable ORVM. As of now, it is available with a 1.6 petrol engine. Whereas, S+ variant has the standard 7-inch touchscreen audio system having 6 speakers, 1GB HDD, fog lamps, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), dual airbags, Bluetooth connectivity, etc

Datsun Go and Go+Models
Datsun released the style editions of its Go Hatchback and Go+ MPV models at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.07 lacs-4.78 lacs on August 5, 2016. Both the models are offered in T variant with the addition of a new Blue Colour to the existing Ruby and White colours. The sylish exterior options of new roof rails, body graphics, a rear spoiler and a limited edition Style logo just add to the beauty of the car. After checking out the exteriors, it’s time to shift our focus to the interiors. Here, you are given the option to choose from a dual tone black and beige interior and a piano black centre instrument cluster with silver finish accents. These were about the looks of the car. Now head to the performance of these models, and you will find a superior fuel economy of 20.62 KMPL. The 1.2 litre petrol engine offers power of 67bhp and torque of 104Nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota, a Japanese automaker, set the ball rolling by launching the diesel version of its all-new Innova Crysta at an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.8 lacs-20.8 lacs. The new MPV model made headlines instantly with its sales recorded a massive 44% growth in May, the month on which it was launched. The 2.4 litre diesel engine generates 150PS of power at 3,400 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) and 343Nm of torque. It is also offered in a 2.8-litre diesel engine variant that churns out power of 174 PS at 3,400 RPM and torque of 360Nm. The MPV model is available in either 7 seat or 8-seat configuration along with stylish cabin well supported by a alluring upgrade package on the exterior. The car is also equipped with EBD, ABS as well as three airbags.

Tata Tiago
Came 2016 and came the much awaited launch of Tata Tiago, a latest hatchback from the homegrown automaker Tata Motors. It is an affordable car with its ex-showroom price ranging between Rs 3.2 lacs to 5.6 lacs, which surely can fit into your budget if you are earning sufficiently higher, say about Rs 25K-35K. The features of the car will rock you like anything with its mileage as much as 27.3 KMPL. It’s just a small tip of the iceberg. There are still plenty more to talk about this hatchback model. The car is offered in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The 1.2 litre petrol engine produces peak power and torque of 85PS and 114Nm, respectively. Whereas, the 1.05 diesel engine generates power of 70 PS and torque of 140Nm. The car looks great with nicely designed cabins and strong in-built mechanisms.
