About Bandhan Bank

As we speak Bandhan Bank, within just two years since the inception, have done for what many of its peers would be either envy or get inspired. It is the expansion that has hit headlines every now and then. From 501 branches, 50 ATMs and 2,022 doorstep service centres (DSCs) to handling the operation of more than 800 branches, 279 ATMs and 2400 DSCs, it can be easily stated that Bandhan Bank is the name for financial inclusion of the Indian society. The bank is manifested with the belief of touching upon every segment of the population in the country’s geographical landscape.

It all began in 2014 when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) gave an in-principle approval to the application requesting the setting up of Bandhan Bank. Interestingly, Bandhan Bank was the only two shortlisted among the 25 applicants including the top business houses. The bank has allowed this monumental success to just act an impetus to drive more growth. Also the support of shareholders like Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Caladium Investment Pte. Ltd. and International Finance Corporation (IFC) have added to its growth. Bandhan Employee Welfare Trust and few other individuals also form the shareholder team of Bandhan Bank.

The bank operates two divisions-General Banking & Micro Banking to keep raising smiles on the faces of the people. Be it the urban, semi-urban or rural locations, the bank has been striving hard to meet their financial needs.

Jammu, the city in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, has recently got its first branch of Bandhan Bank. With the opening of this branch, the bank is now present in all the states of India. Wanna check out the branch detail? See the table below.
