About Bank of Baroda

It was well over hundred summers ago when Bank of Baroda (BoB), a bank which you are quite familiar with, got introduced to the world in June 1908. The interesting part of its inception was that Maharaja of Baroda along with Maharaja Saijirao Gaekwad III founded the bank. It was the royals who did the honours. Normally, banks are not opened by royals. It’s the businessmen who go on to do the same. So, the foundation of the bank makes it an interesting reading. The bank’s operation started in a small building in Baroda, located in the state of Gujarat.

Just a shade over 60 years passed by and the bank got into the hands of Government of India. Yes, the bank was nationalized in 1969. From then to now, the bank has experimented itself in several banking verticals and proven its prowess in those. Some of the verticals, wherein the bank is calling the shots include-Personal Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking, MSME Banking, Rural Banking, Treasury Banking and much more.

The reason why Bank of Baroda has been so successful in these verticals is due to its constant urge to better the products with time. It always keeps a close eye on the consumer behaviour and develops products accordingly to not only add more customers to its list but also helping them realize their dream. Depositors can open current and savings account while those seeking a loan can get suitable finances of the required amount to achieve their financial goals.

BoB enjoys an extensive branch and ATM network that span across the country. While the total number of branches has gone past 6,000, the ATMs are more than 1,000 in India. The presence of the bank has defied all the boundaries as it is prominent in 25 countries including India.

Like several other areas, Bank of Baroda provides services to customers residing in the Taj Mahal City Agra. Around 10-20 branches of BoB are there in this beautiful city. So, check out your nearest branch as we show them in a table below.
