About Bank of Baroda

To start with, Bank of Baroda has been busy redefining and reshaping the experience of financial services in India for ages. From the time to 1908 to now, the bank has continuously strived to provide the best services that a customer could expect to receive. It is a mass banker but not a niche one.  In 1908 when our grandfathers or may be generations above them were battling to cause unrest for the British establishment, there were emperors busy in creating the building blocks of a financial institution called Bank of Baroda (BoB). Do you know who did the honours? It was Maharaja Saijirao and Maharaja of Baroda who came together for this brand initiative.

As the time went along, the bank was under private control for years before the Government of India recognized the importance of Bank of Baroda and nationalized it in 1969. Since then, it's been a happy hunting time for BoB, which has been a premier banker for all sorts of customers be it corporate, retail, NRIs, MSMEs or any other. With a custom blend of products, the bank has ensured to make everyone happy.

But what counts significant for BoB is its sincerity in understanding the needs of customers at different points of time. Now when the lenders are slogging out against each other by reducing home loan rates, Bank of Baroda came with an offer that would be too tempting to resist. It reduced the interest rates on a home loan to 8.35% per annum, the lowest in the industry. Also significant was its removal of switchover fees that the bank was charging to customers shifting their home loan portfolio from base rate to marginal cost of lending rate (MCLR). A charge of 5,000 to 10,000 is usually levied on such switch.

The bank, with a presence of over 6,000 branches and 1,000 ATMs, is maintaining a strong hold in the domestic market. It has also made significant expansion in the foreign territories by establishing branches across the US, Australia, Middle East and others.

Indore, a city located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, is also banked by Bank of Baroda. The city of Indore has branches that total to around 25-30, a significant number one would have to say. If you are not aware of the nearest BoB branch in Indore, a table below will most definitely let you reach there.
