About Federal bank

Federal bank, originally called as Travancore bank has been a major commercial bank in India, which has delivered on the expectations of the customers. It was formed in the year 1931 during the era of Indian independence struggle. The main office of the bank is in Aluva, Kochi in Kerala. The bank’s journey into the banking world began with a capital of Rupees five thousand. It became a fully operative commercial bank in the year 1970. In 1972, the bank expanded beyond the home state of Kerala. Within the next year, the bank opened its international banking department in the city of Mumbai.
