About Federal bank
Federal bank is one of India’s oldest private sector bank which has constantly strived to fulfill the financial needs of the people. The bank which was earlier called as Travancore bank was incorporated in the year 1931 when India’s freedom struggle was at its peak. The head office is located in Aluva, Kochi in Kerala. The head office was shifted to the city on May 18, 1945. The second branch was opened in Angamally on January 26, 1946. It started its journey with an authorised capital of Rs. 5,000. In a board meeting conducted on March 24, 1947 it was decided to rename the bank as Federal bank limited. Since then, the bank has started to weave success stories of its own. It has grown into one of the most stable traditional banks in India. The bank has ensured to reach even the remotest of places so that it can offer a customer 24X7 service. Other than several branches and ATMs in India, Federal bank has an office in Abu Dhabi, UAE as well, which takes care of the needs of the NRI people in UAE.
