About Federal bank

Federal bank has been one of India’s oldest private sector commercial banks which has catered to the financial needs of the people since a long time. The bank began its journey on April 28, 1931, when India was struggling for its independence. It began conducting the operations with a mere capital of Rs. 5,000. The bank relocated to the main head office in Aluva, Kochi in the year 1945 and opened another branch in Angamally in 1946. The year 1970 was a very important year for the bank when it became a fully fledged commercial bank, marking 25 years since it started its operations in Aluva. Emerging as the most admired bank has always been the vision of Federal bank. It has constantly tried to design better financial products for its customers and even exceed their expectations.

Federal bank has seen a very successful journey over the past 86 years. It was one of the early traditional banks which made its branches automated and interconnected. It was also very quick in introducing the concept of mobile banking and mobile alerts service in India.  The bank can be credited for being the first major traditional bank to start IMPS facility in India through internet banking. The bank has been rewarded for its splendid performance in the banking sector. It won the Best Corporate Award in 2016 in an award function hosted by Economic Times. Lucknow-the city of nawabs, is growing at a rapid pace and to maintain the same pace requires financial support. Federal bank has taken the responsibility to finance the dreams of many people living in the capital of Uttar Pradesh and it is doing a commendable job.
