About Jammu and Kashmir Bank
Jammu and Kashmir bank is one of the emerging banks in India. The bank has been set up before Independence in the year 1938 and became operational in the year 1939. The bank is one of the first banks which was set up to provide the banking facilities to the people of the state. The bank was set up by Maharaja Hari Singh who issued the letters patent and asked the noted dignitaries and investors to invest in the bank and become the directors and shareholder of the venture. The bank was therefore called as the Semi-governmental bank as the part capital as invested by the government and rest by the people who were under the control of the government.
The main of the bank was to meet the financial demands of the people of the state. The bank has spread its network nationally and has around 864 branches along wit the 1035 ATMs across the country. The bank now aims to provide the international quality products and services to its customers. The bank is the sponsor for the JK Grameen bank. It wants to capitalize on the growth and catalyze the economic transformation. The main aim of the bank is to become the preferred and super specialty bank for the people in the country.
