About Jammu and Kashmir Bank
Jammu and Kashmir is one of the banks that was established pre-independence in the year 1938 but was operational in the year 1939. It was one of the first banks that was opened for the people in the valley which was a semi- government bank. It was established under the letter patent issued by the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir Hari Singh. It is one of the banks that was established with the capital that was contributed by the government and the people who were under the control of the government. It suffered a huge loss at the time of partition when two branches of the bank fell on the other side of the line of control.
The main aim to open the bank was to provide the financial assistance to the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It wants to catalyze on the economic transformation and capitalize on the growth of the country. It aims to give the best and international quality of the products and services to the people of the state and become one of the most preferred bank and the super specialist bank of the country.
