Donald Trump Hits Dalal Street Hard, Investors Lose 6 Lakh Cr in 15 Minutes

Reacting to the pre-poll survey indicating Donald Trump, Republican Candidate, to be the winner of the US Election, the BSE Sensex fell the BSE Sensex fell sharply on Wednesday, making the domestic stock investors poorer by approximately Rs. 6 lakh crore within 15 minutes of the trade, as per the data.

The combined market capitalization of BSE stocks dipped to Rs 1.05 lakh crore from Rs 1.11 lakh crore in the first 15 minutes. Around 1,875 of 2,000 stocks trading on the BSE platform nosedived whole only 85 rose. The BSE-Sensex tanked by 1,600 points to register its biggest fall since August 25, 2016. However, the index recovered a bit within an hour.
