Overview

Mahindra Mutual Fund has been entrusted as a trust as per the provisions of the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, in accordance with the terms of the trust deed dated September 29, 2015 between the Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Limited as the Sponsor(liability of Sponsor limited to Rs. 1,00,000/-) and Mahindra Trustee Company Private Limited, as the Trustee. The registration of the Trust Deed is done under the provisions of the Indian Registration Act, 1908. Later on, the SEBI registers Mahindra Mutual Fund under the registration code MF/069/16/01.

Mahindra Asset Management Company Private Limited, a company established under the Companies Act, 1956, is the Investment Manager for Mahindra Mutual Fund. It is a fully owned subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Limited (MMFSL).

Mahindra Mutual Fund aims to offer a numerous variety of mutual fund schemes on a pan -India basis, with a special emphasis on rural and semi-urban areas.

1. Liquid Funds

Mahindra Mutual Fund offers ‘Liquid Fund’ under two plans such as Direct & Regular; options covering Growth and Dividend -Reinvestment.

Mahindra Liquid Fund

Mahindra Liquid Fund is an open-ended liquid scheme, also known as a cash management tool for investors, can be a great option besides a regular savings bank account. The scheme has recorded its AUM of ₹ 1000 Cr as on July 31, 2016, within its first month of launch.

The Scheme aims to deliver comparative market associated returns with lower risk and higher liquidity through a portfolio of money market and debt instruments. However, there is no guarantee that the investment objective of the Scheme will be achieved and the Scheme does not hold any guarantee or assurance for any returns. Minimum investment in Mahindra Mutual Fund Liquid Plan is ₹ 1000/- with no lock-in period. Also, there is no exit load applicable on it.

2. ELSS Fund

Mahindra Mutual Fund Kar Bachat Yojna is an ELSS Fund which is offered by Mahindra Mutual Fund. This fund is offered under two options -Growth and Dividend payout.

Mahindra Mutual Fund Kar Bachat Yojna

Mahindra Mutual Fund Kar Bachat Yojna is an open-ended equity linked savings scheme with a lock-in period of 3 years, focussed on tax payers who can derive benefits of deductions permissible under Section 80 C of the Income Tax Act 1961. There exists a possibility of savings upto ₹ 46,350/- where redemption proceeds are tax-free.

Now investors can save taxes under Section 80 C where every investment gets parked away for a three years time period. The asset allocation of the scheme will be 80-100% in equity and equity related securities and 0-20% in debt and money market securities. This fund protects your investments from the impact of short-term market volatility.

This product is appropriate for investors who are seeking:

This fund provides benefit to investors through its asset allocation in dynamic market scenarios. It also balances the risky composition of equity investments along with investments in debt and derivative securities. However, regular investments in this scheme allow the investors to accumulate wealth so as to realize their dreams.

Mahindra Mutual Fund Alp-Samay Bachat Yojana is an open-ended debt mutual fund scheme which aims to provide reasonable returns, corresponding with a low to moderate level of risk and a high degree of liquidity, through a portfolio comprised of money market and debt instruments. This fund is suited for :

  • those investors who have an alternative to savings/current bank account for parking of short-term surpluses.
  • those investors who are categorized under the Ultra Short Term Debt Fund category.
