About United Bank of India

United Bank of India is one of the well known names in the banking sector which has worked day in and day out to fulfill the financial requirements of the people of the country. The public sector bank was nationalized on July 19, 1969. It was established in the year 1950, due to the amalgamation of four different banks, viz Hooghly Bank Ltd., Comilla Union Bank Ltd. Bengal Central Bank Ltd., and Comilla Banking Corporation Ltd. The bank has a very strong vision of becoming a dynamic, customer-centric, techno-savvy, financially sound and progressive lending institution in the country. It aims to have a pan India presence as it wants to reach to every corner of the country and create a legacy for itself. At present, the bank has about 1999 branches and offices in various states of India. The main head office of the bank is situated in the beautiful city of Kolkata. The bank has been very instrumental in bringing banking services to the eastern and north-eastern zone of India.
