About United Bank of India
If there is one bank which has united the country in true essence, then it has to be United Bank of India. The bank has been successful enough in uniting India through banking. It has brought a beautiful smile on millions of faces in India. It was formed in 1950 when four traditional banks were merged with one another. Therefore it got the name as United bank of India. The bank has been satisfying customers for more than six decades.It was nationalized on the date July 19, 1969. At that time it had 174 active branches, ₹ 112 crores of advances and ₹ 147 crores of deposits. The bank has established its main head office in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.
