When you apply for an Aadhaar Card, it is usually delivered home via Post. But if you haven’t received your Aadhaar Card, you can easily download and have a printout of the Aadhaar. There are multiple ways to make an Aadhaar Card Download Online. You can have the Aadhaar Card Print after downloading it. A copy of an Aadhaar Card can be downloaded using your Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Enrolment Number, and Virtual ID. Methods to Download Aadhaar Card

There are 6 different methods to download Aadhaar Card Online using various details. You can use the details that are convenient for you to use.

Download Aadhaar through Aadhaar Number

  • Go to the Official website of UIDAI and click on the Download Aadhaar link present in the My Aadhaar tab.
  • On the Download Aadhaar page, choose the Aadhaar Number option.
  • Then enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number and the Security Code.
  • Click on the Send OTP button and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP you have received and click on the Verify And Download button.
  • After a successful verification, an Aadhaar PDF file will be downloaded.

The PDF file will be password protected. The password will be 8 characters which the first four characters will be the first four characters of your name and the last four characters will be your birth year.

Download Aadhaar through Name and Date of Birth

You will have to retrieve your Aadhaar or Enrolment number using your Name and Date of Birth to download your Aadhaar Card online.

  • Go to the official Aadhaar Card website and click on the Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID link.
  • Then a new page will open where you will have to provide your full name and your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the Security Code and click on the Send OTP button.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP and click on the Verify OTP button.
  • The confirmation message will appear on the screen Aadhaar number/enrolment ID is sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Once you have the Aadhaar number or Enrolment number, you can use any of them on the Download Aadhaar Page to download your Aadhaar Card.

Use Virtual ID to Download Aadhaar

  • Open the Official website of UIDAI and under the My Aadhaar Tab, click on the Download Aadhaar link.
  • Download Aadhaar page will open where you will have to select the Virtual ID option.
  • Then provide your 16-digit Virtual ID and the Security Code.
  • Make a Click on the Send OTP button and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Provide the OTP you have received and then click on the Verify And Download button.
  • When the verification completes, an Aadhaar will be downloaded in a PDF file format.

Make Aadhaar Card Download through Enrolment Number

  • Visit the Official website of UIDAI and click on the Download Aadhaar link available under the My Aadhaar tab.
  • On the Download Aadhaar page, select the Enrolment ID option.
  • Then enter your 28-digit Enrolment ID and the Security Code.
  • Hit the Send OTP button and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Provide the OTP you have received and click on the Verify And Download button.
  • After a successful verification, an Aadhaar will be downloaded in a PDF file format.

Use Umang App to Download Aadhaar

  • Download and Open the Umang App on your mobile phone.
  • Go to the Aadhaar Card option under the All Services tab.
  • Then click on the View Aadhaar Card From DigiLocker option.
  • Make a login on Digilocker through your Aadhaar Number.
  • Provide the OTP you have received on your registered mobile number
  • Now click on the Verify OTP option and you can download your Aadhaar Card by clicking on the Download button.

Use Umang App to Download Aadhaar

  • Download and Open the Umang App on your mobile phone.
  • Go to the Aadhaar Card option under the All Services tab.
  • Then click on the View Aadhaar Card From DigiLocker option.
  • Make a login on Digilocker through your Aadhaar Number.
  • Provide the OTP you have received on your registered mobile number
  • Now click on the Verify OTP option and you can download your Aadhaar Card by clicking on the Download button.

Download Aadhaar Card without Mobile Number

If you don’t have an Aadhaar Card then you can visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra and follow the instructions given below:-

  • Go to the nearest Aadhaar Centre with your Aadhaar number.
  • Give your bio-metric details for verification like thumb verification, retina scan, etc.
  • You must also carry one more identity proof like a PAN and identity card.
  • The executive at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra will give a printout of the Aadhaar card. (A fee of INR 30 is chargeable.

Aadhaar Card Print

You can have an Aadhaar Card printout as same as you take a printout of a PDF file. In all the above methods, Aadhaar is downloaded in a PDF format and it is protected through a password. Therefore, you will have to enter the Aadhaar Card Password to open the Aadhaar Card. The password will be the first 4 letters of your name and year of birth. The password is usually 8 characters.
