It often happens with many individuals in India who apply for an Aadhaar but don’t receive it by post on their address. The probable reason can be your Aadhaar Card Application rejection or you might have applied for the Aadhaar Card before April 2012. So, if your Aadhaar is not received or delivered by post at your home then you can download your Aadhaar from the official website of UIDAI. It takes up to 90 days to get the Aadhaar Card at home. Download Aadhaar Card Online if Not Received

So, you can get your Aadhaar online if you haven’t received it through the post. Here are the steps you can follow to download your Aadhaar online.

  • Open the official website of E-Aadhaar UIDAI on your PC or Laptop.
  • Choose either your Aadhaar Number or VID or Enrolment ID as per the information you have with you.
  • Then fill out your Name, Mobile Number, Pincode, and Security Code as displayed in the tabs.
  • Now click on the Request OTP button and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number or email ID.
  • Enter the OTP in the box for verification.
  • Then click on the Download Aadhaar Button to download your e-Aadhaar.
  • You will get the Aadhaar in a PDF form and enter the password to open the PDF file.

Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file on your PC or Laptop. On the other hand, you can take a printout of the Aadhaar and use it as a valid document. You can even carry it on your mobile phone and it can be used as an Address and Identity Proof.

Get Aadhaar on mobile if Not Received

You can use the mAadhaar App to get the Aadhaar on your mobile phone. Just follow the steps given below to get Aadhaar on your phone through SMS.

  • Visit the official page of Retrieve UID on your PC.
  • Enter the 28 digits Enrolment Number that is given on the Acknowledgement Slip received by you at the time of applying for the Aadhaar Card.
  • Then enter your registered mobile number and the security code.
  • Click on the Sent OTP button present on the screen.
  • Now enter the OTP you have received on your registered mobile number and click on the Submit button.

After verifying the OTP, you will receive all the details about your Aadhaar Card on your registered mobile. You can use your Aadhaar details to prove your identity.
