  1. Visit your SBI Branch and fill out the Net Banking Registration Form.
  2. Submit it with identity proof and account details.
  3. The bank will issue a Pre-printed Kit (PPK) with a User ID and a temporary password.
  4. Alternatively, eligible users can self-register via SBI Online:

    • Click ‘New User Registration’ and follow the prompts.

How to Activate SBI Net Banking?

To activate SBI net banking -

  1. Visit: https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi.
  2. Log in using the User ID and temporary password from the PPK or after self-registration.
  3. Accept the terms and set a new login password.
  4. Create a separate transaction password for secure transactions.
  5. Your SBI Net Banking will now be fully activated.

Follow the steps below to login to SBI net banking.

  1. Go to: https://retail.onlinesbi.sbi.
  2. Enter your Username and Password.
  3. Enter the CAPTCHA code.
  4. Click Login.
  5. Enter OTP (if prompted) for two-factor verification.

How to Reset the Password of SBI Net Banking?

  1. Visit the SBI Net Banking Login Page.
  2. Click on ‘Forgot Login Password’.
  3. Enter your User ID, savings Account Number, and registered mobile number.
  4. Authenticate via OTP.
  5. Set a new login password and confirm.
  6. Login again using your new password.

SBI Net Banking Transaction Limit

The transaction limits for SBI net banking are as below -

  • IMPS:
    Max ₹5,00,000 per transaction (set by default at ₹2,00,000; can be increased by request).
  • NEFT:
    No upper limit technically, but generally ₹10 lakh/day for retail users.
  • RTGS:
    Minimum: ₹2,00,000 per transaction.
    Maximum: Depends on your set daily limit, often up to ₹20 lakh or higher upon request.
  • Intra-bank Transfers (SBI to SBI):
    Default: ₹10 lakh/day, adjustable by the user under Profile > Manage Beneficiaries.
