About United Bank of India

United Bank of India is one of the most trusted public sector banks in India which is based out of Kolkata. The bank along with 13 other banks was nationalized on July 19, 1969. The bank was formed in the year 1950 when four other banks were merged with one another. Those four banks were Comilla Banking Corporation Ltd., Comilla Union Bank Ltd., Bengal Central Bank Ltd., and Hooghly Bank Ltd. the origin of the bank can be traced back to 1914 when Comilla Banking Corporation Ltd was formed. The bank has amplified its presence in almost all the states of the country and has a wide network of 1999 branches.
