DDA Housing Scheme 2018 – Total of 20980 Flats for Sale

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new housing scheme for the year 2018. The scheme is for people from lower income group/expendable houses/middle income group. DDA is offering nearly 21,000 homes by June 2018 through its scheme.

A total no of 20,980 flats are being offered out of which 3622 are for Janata or EWS (economically weaker sections), 16,298 for LIG (low-income group) flats, 579 for MIG (middle-income group) and 488 for HIG (high-income group) houses. The flats covered under the scheme will be located in areas such as Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Siraspur, etc.

    What is the price range for DDA flats?

    The prices of the flats under DDA have been kept low so that it is within the reach of the majority. The flats are in the range of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 1.44 crore.

    Where to get DDA 2018 Application Brochure Online?

    DDA has signed up with 10 lenders namely Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank, SBI, Kotak Mahindra, HDFC, ICICI and Canara Bank. The application brochures are available at Rs 200, inclusive of all taxes at these banks. You can also download the form online through the official website of DDA.

    Who are eligible for DDA 2018?

    Only eligible applicants can apply for DDA Housing Scheme 2018. The eligibility for the same is as follows:

    • The applicant must be citizen of India
    • The applicant should have attained the age of 18 years
    • The applicant must not own any residential house or plot in full or in part, on leasehold/freehold basis in New Delhi, Delhi or Delhi cantonment, either in his/her own name or in the name of his/her wife/husband/minor dependent children
    • If however, the share of the applicant in the jointly owned plot or land under the residential house is less than 66.9 square meters, he/she can apply under any of the schemes
    • A person who has already been allotted a house/flat constructed by DDA or any other land/owning agency even if it is less then 66.9 sq mtrs, shall not be eligible for allotment under any of the schemes of DDA

    Recently, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced the list of winners for the housing scheme 2017. A draw lot of 46,182 registrants was held in Vikas Sadan. The whole event was webcast. DDA had launched a new housing scheme entailing a sale of around 12,000 flats in the country’s capital. Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu while launching the scheme said that it was linked to Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing For all (Urban) as the government envisions to provide affordable housing by 2022. The DDA Awas Yojana 2017, which opened on 30th June 2017 and expired on 11th August 2017, featured flats mostly located in Rohini, Narela, Dwarka, Pitampura, Jasola, Paschim Vihar and Vasant Kunj. Importantly, the DDA has removed the 5-year lock-in clause in its housing scheme 2017, and is considering the same for the resale of flats sold in 2014 as buyers feel the 5-year period is too long.

    The eco-friendly technologies have been used to construct the flats, said the officials present in a gathering at Nirman Bhavan in New Delhi. As many as eight banks have joined hands with DDA for application forms and scheme-related transactions.

    What’s Different in DDA Housing Scheme 2017?

    In the case of emerging the winner in the lucky draw, you would need need to pay the remaining cost of the house after depositing the application fee. The concerned banks won’t finance the application fee for the flats on a minimum fee of ₹5,000 which was paid by the customers to avail the service the last time around when the scheme was launched. You can get the finance of the application, but on a personal loan basis. If you opt for a personal loan to pay the application fee to the DDA, you should look at the interest rate and the applicable EMI of the tied up banks.     What About Charges on Surrender of Application in DDA Flats Housing Scheme 2017?

    In the event of a prospective buyer surrendering the application prior to the date of a lucky draw, nothing would be deducted. But doing so after the draw and before the demand letter will lead to the forfeiture of the application money or the registration fee, whichever you would like to call, to the tune of 25%.

    Who are Eligible to Apply for DDA Flats 2017?

    • Any Indian national with an age of 18 years and above at the time of filing the form.
    • The applicant must not own a flat under his/her, spouse or under children’s name in Delhi.
    • An applicant can submit only one application.
    • Both husband and wife can apply for the scheme individually. But if both of them are named in the lucky draw, only one can retain the flat.
    • An applicant must have a PAN number which he/she must quote in the application form.

    You are required to submit the self-attested copy of the following documents while applying for the said housing scheme.

    • Residence Proof-Government Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID, Water Bill Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, House Tax Receipt, Bank Passbook showing the name and address,
    • PAN Card
    • ITR filed for 2015-16 with 2016-17 as the financial year
    • Relevant documents to identify the people belonging to Scheduled Caste (ST), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Handicapped or other categories which get reservation
