About United Bank of India

United Bank of India is the bank for the people of India. It is a major public sector bank which was nationalized in the year 1969 on July 19. The bank main head office is located in the city of joy- Kolkata. After it got nationalized, the bank took on the role of a responsible financial institution and helped in spreading the banking services to different parts of India. It was an active participator in all kinds of developmental activities and together with government paved way for a strong banking system in the country. It particularly focussed on the rural and semi-urban belt and introduced several banking measures in these areas. These led to the development of the banking sector in these areas. This introduced major trust for the bank amongst the customers.

United Bank of India has always been known as the bank that has amalgamated entire India through the dots of banking. It carried the mission of spreading banking facilities in the eastern and north-eastern zone of India on its own back. Due to its massive work in these zones, the bank got the tag of the lead bank and currently, it is the lead bank in various districts of Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Tripura. Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh and an important centre of education, trade and culture in central India.
