About Bank Of Maharashtra

The year 1936 marked the beginning of Bank of Maharashtra which was set up in Pune. The bank was incepted to provide a fillip to the trade and commerce in Maharashtra. From a handful of branches in 1936 to approximately 2,000 branches, Bank of Maharashtra has expanded its presence in the country. It is a public sector bank with the share of Indian government a shade above 80%. The founders of the bank were V.G. Kale and D.K. Sathe who registered Bank of Maharashtra with an authorized capital of ₹ 10 lakh. The bank is a key player in corporate banking, consumer banking, international banking, mortgage loans and much more.
