About UCO Bank
It’s fascinating to research on the mind of a leader, isn’t it? No matter what the situation may be, the leaders don’t stop thinking out of the box. And one such familiar case was Ghanshyam Das Birla, who despite being a Quit India Movement 1942 member, thought of creating a bank. A year later in 1943, he realized his dreams and so as the many who were looking for a remarkable service provider that UCO Bank, formerly known as United Commercial Bank, has been for customers over the years. The set up was simple with few head offices in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal.
From that time to now, the bank has evolved in terms of product offerings, value proposition, and the unique identity. The bank has ensured these through highly qualified professionals, with some being the office bearers at Govt of India and Reserve Bank of India (RBI). These professionals are actually board of director members of the bank. With an expertise spanning across the business, economy and finance, the bank has been constantly offering value-added products, thereby adding strings to someone’s dream.
Over the years, the bank has been successful in catering to the requirements of retail, corporate, international, rural and MSME clients. With specific products, UCO Bank has proven to be a real force in India’s banking space, which one would have to say a very fragmented one consisting of several players in the small, mid and large categories.
Don’t you think the presence of the bank is vital in creating an impression among the customers? The common answer would be Yes, right! So, the bank has not left any stone unturned in expanding its reach across India. With more than 3,000 branches and 2,500 ATMs, the bank has nicely covered the terrains.
